Real Men Read

In February, RCPC launched it’s “Real Men Read” campaign. Partnering with local community members including Mr. Jeremy McKenzie of Ellerbe Town Council, Mr. Arturo DeAguilar of Richmond County Hospice, Inc., Deputy Gunn and Deputy Spivey of Richmond County Sheriff’s, and Mayor John Hutchison of Rockingham, story time will be posted to RCPC’s Facebook page weekly in February; and on the last Thursday of each month the rest of the year. "Real Men Read" was started by Reading Specialist Marilu Bicknell when the low statistics showed that young males had a lack of interest in books.
