Richmond County Partnership for Children staff attended the 1st ever virtual NCAEYC conference that was held Thursday, September 24, 2020 – Saturday, September 26, 2020. The theme for this year’s NCAEYC conference focus was Sharing a Focus on Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Resilience in Early Childhood Education. During the conference we had the opportunity to hear the Incredible Elijah Lee. Elijah Lee, a 12-year-old activist from rural, small-town Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, is an advocate working to raise awareness for child abuse prevention. He shared his story of resilience and activism in an effort to motivate others to become more involved in their community.
